Our 4400 watt state-of-the-art laser cutter is powerful enough to handle the toughest jobs. It cuts stainless and mild steel sheet, plate and hollow structural shapes with ease and incredible accuracy. We can cut your materials into just about any design required. Our laser is CNC controlled and equipped with an automatic shuttle table to increase cutting efficiencies!

  • Up to 0.5" stainless steel

  • Up to 1" mild steel

  • Aluminum

  • Brass

  • Titanium

  • Accuracy of +/-0.001" per foot

  • 5' x 10' (60"x120") sheet capacity

  • Tube Cutting up to 12" diameter

  • Capabilities include sheet, plate and hollow structural steel

BRAKE FORMING

Our brake presses can handle parts up to 13 feet in length with press capacity up to 220 Tons.

SHEARING

Capacity: ¼” mild steel and 3/16” Stainless Steel in thickness, 10 foot shearing length

ROLLING & PUNCHING

Our forming department is equipped with a 220-ton LVD, 200-ton Ursviken, 80-ton LVD, 5’ wide plate roller and channel roller.  Our large selection of tooling allows us to form most parts to our customer specifications.  We manufacture custom tooling for our customers on a regular basis to accommodate their more challenging formed parts.  Please contact us for all your forming needs!

Our Trumpf T260R is CNC controlled and capable of punching up to 1/4” mild steel, 5/16” aluminum and 3/16” stainless steel.  Our inventory of tooling allows us to punch a variety of shapes including, rounds, oblongs, louvers, countersinks and other special forming tools.  Please contact us for all your punching needs!

WELDING

Our welding capabilities include MIG, TIG, STICK, stud welding and spot welding.  We weld mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and brass on a regular basis.  Our welding capabilities range from fine, decorative welding to heavy, structural welding.

MACHINE SHOP

The machine shop features 2 milling centres, 2 lathe centres, a CNC Router and a wood & plastics shop.  Our machine shop compliments our fabrication services and creates many plastic, brass, lexan, etc. parts for our non-metal customers.

DEBURRING

Burrs are generally unwanted material remaining after a machining operation such as grinding, drilling, milling, or turning. Burr formation in machining accounts for a significant portion of machining costs for manufacturers. Drilling burrs, for example, are common when drilling almost any material. The Boeing 747 airplane has approximately 1.3 million holes drilled in it, most of which have to be deburred to some extent. As one could imagine, the cost and time needed to perform these drilling and deburring operations is significant.

In addition to drilling, milling is also a source of burr formation in machining. One good example of unwanted burrs is in the automotive industry where cylinder blocks, pistons and other engine components are cast then milled to a specific dimension. With higher and higher demands placed on accuracy and precision, burr formation is of critical importance because it can affect engine performance, reliability, and durability.

PAINTING & COATINGS

Gencon fabrication can provide our customers with finished coated products.  We can either wet paint in-house, powder coat or plate (zinc, nickel, chrome) your parts and supply as a complete unit!

PRODUCTION

We also offer assembly services that can supply our customer with complete assemblies packaged as per our customer’s requirements.  Please ask us about assembling your products!

ENGINEERING

We offer fabrication related engineering services to our customers as an added value.  Our engineering capabilities using CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor) is impressive and accurate.  Engineering for ease of manufacturability is our specialty and with our various fabrication equipment we are able to construct most designs economically and quick.  Please contact us with any questions!
